I-80 Ramps
Ramp Closures
Westbound I-80 On-Ramp from 2300 East
The project team will close the westbound I-80 on-ramp from 2300 East in Salt Lake City overnight on Thursday, May 11, and Friday, May 12, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. both nights to accommodate bridge work above the ramp.
During these closures, drivers can access westbound I-80 from the on-ramp at 1300 East.

Ramp Reconstruction
The following ramps are currently being reconstructed as part of the project:
-
Eastbound I-80 on-ramp from 1300 East
-
Westbound I-80 on-ramp from northbound 1300 East
-
Westbound I-80 off-ramp to 1300 East
To reconstruct each ramp, crews will shift traffic to a temporary lane. Then, crews will remove and crush the concrete pavement that is on the existing ramp and replace it with new concrete.
Drivers can expect intermittent closures of these ramps through 2023 while they are being reconstructed. They should also expect uneven pavement and drainage grates on these ramps.
Plan ahead and check UDOT Traffic before traveling.
In 2022, crews reconstructed two ramps on I-80:
-
Eastbound I-80 off-ramp to 2300 East
-
Westbound I-80 on-ramp from 2300 East

The construction schedule and activities are weather-dependent and subject to change.
I-215 Ramps
Ramp Closures
Northbound I-215 On- and Off-Ramps at 3800 South and 3900 South
While crews are shifting northbound I-215 traffic on Saturday night, May 6, the project team will intermittently close the northbound I-215 on- and off-ramps at 3800 South and 3900 South between 11 p.m. and 4 a.m. During these closures, drivers should exit northbound I-215 from the off-ramp at 6200 South and enter from the on-ramp at 3300 South.

Northbound I-215 On-Ramp from 3900 South
Crews closed the northbound I-215 on-ramp from 3900 South in September 2021 to accommodate reconstruction of the ramp. Drivers can expect the ramp to remain closed through early June 2023.
Crews have constructed a temporary northbound I-215 on-ramp located south of the existing ramp, as shown in the map. Drivers can also access northbound I-215 using the on-ramp from 3800 South.

Temporary Northbound I-215 On-Ramp from 3900 South Closure
The project team will close the temporary northbound I-215 on-ramp from 3900 South, located south of the permanent ramp, while crews reconstruct the permanent ramp. The temporary ramp will be closed starting Sunday, May 7. The permanent ramp will open in early June 2023.
While the ramp is closed, drivers can access northbound I-215 from the on-ramp at 3800 South, as shown in the map below.

Northbound I-215 On-Ramp from 3800 South
After the northbound I-215 on-ramp from 3900 South is open, crews will close the northbound I-215 on-ramp from 3800 South while they fully reconstruct the ramp. Drivers can access northbound I-215 from the on-ramp from 3300 South during this closure.
This closure is anticipated to start in mid-June and continue through July 2023.

Ramp Reconstruction
The following ramps are currently being reconstructed as part of the project:
-
Northbound I-215 on-ramp from 3900 South
-
Northbound I-215 off-ramp to 3300 South and 3900 South
-
Southbound I-215 on-ramp from 3300 South
To reconstruct each ramp, crews will shift traffic to a temporary lane. Then, crews will remove and crush the concrete pavement that is on the existing ramp and replace it with new concrete.
During reconstruction, drivers can expect intermittent closures of these ramps through 2023 as well as uneven pavement and drainage grates on these ramps.
Plan ahead and check UDOT Traffic before traveling.
In 2022, crews reconstructed three ramps on I-215:
-
Southbound I-215 on-ramp from 3900 South
-
Southbound I-215 off-ramp to 3900 South
-
Southbound I-215 off-ramp to 4500 South

The construction schedule and activities are weather-dependent and subject to change.
